Hello Gannettoids,

This forum is being provided as one way to continue to communicate with colleagues as the Gannett Blog phases out.

Here, unregistered posting is allowed, but registered posting is encouraged and is the best way to gain credibility. Registered posters can eventually gain trust when breaking news.

We will try to keep this a professional forum that helps people communicate and share ideas or vent complaints.

We have tried to earn a trust at Gannettoid.com as a site not trying to be the Gannett Blog, but complement it. We haven't broken any news, we haven't gained a dime and we have never leaked a company memo. We've simply presented links on Gannett or industry subjects or information that was useful for Gannett news, such as furlough information.

We are not pro- or anti-Gannett. We are pro-Gannettoids.

We left the in-depth stories and breaking news for the Gannett Blog. Now, we want to keep the many positives of the blog alive here, but hopefully be able to filter out junk better. That will probably take a little bit of time, as well other adjustments for the board.

We understand many will attack the negatives immediately, but that's OK. Just keep in mind this site will be improving as we go. We can add or change forums, just let us know what best organizes the topics.
