Westchester Journal News publisher Michael Fisch sent the following memo Aug. 14 with a clarification on the process of the paper's restructuring.
Transitional Pay Plan Clarification:

We have received a clarification: If you are offered a position and decline the position you will not qualify for the transitional pay plan.
One other point of clarification:
If you decide not to apply for a position and plan to leave the company you must be on payroll August 28th to receive the transitional pay plan. You should inform Human Resources if this is your intent.
